happily exhausted!

our first anniversary 15 April 2007. we have been talking about it for weeks before that we would like to drive up to mecengan island in the north west and we did! :) it was a long 4 hours coastal road ride but absolutely scenic. We had Mount Agung on the left and an ocean view on the right. We were just soaking in the magnificent view throughout the ride. We arrived in Lovina - half way point to our destination and decided to do take a break and had a picnic in the car. We didn't spot any dolphins which Lovina was famous for but instead spotted a butt naked man having a shower! *heh heh heh* We had a chicken tortilla wrap which i must add was pretty damn yummy! it was worth me dragging myself to the kitchen at midnight the night before! and we down it the Bali way of course! With bottles of bintang.

We continued driving by villages, lakes with people washing themselves, a ke-zilllion temples and mosque and finally arrived in Pemuteran. We stopped by Mimpi Resort which was right on the beach. it actually looked like a riverbank! the water was flat like a piece of glass... sooooooo beautiful. I think it's the next best view after our resort! We recce the place, found out where we can get a boat for our dives the next morning and drove about and found a beautiful villa right on the beachfront part of which was still in construction and got away with a cheap price for a night. I thought it was a bit lavish of us but decided what the hell! and hubby agreed! The bathroom was huge! big mirrors, lots of space and it opens up to an outside bath and toilet! i am in a house craze at the moment and you can just watch my hungry eyes soaking in all the details and popping a million questions to hubby about the material, structure every time i walk into a beautiful villa like this one. aiiiiii ... the view is just breathtaking... you got the ocean, the green fields and the mountain view. what possibly can one ask for. We were so content, dinner was great (super efficient staff and cook!), my cheap hatten white wine was yummy, i had hubby all to myself and we were the only one around. it was a tiring but perfect day :)... we dragged ourselves out of that lovely villa on monday morning, filled ourselves up with a scrumptious breakfast and admired the view one last time before we headed for our dive. the dive on mecengan was absolutely worth the drive! the water visibility was fantastic and the dive was so relaxing and easy. we had almost 3 hours underwater in that two dives! it was almost like diving the walls on sipidan island! i couldn't believe how tranquil it was. i really wished i invested in an underwater camera to share how beautiful the dive site was. we literally had the dive site to ourselves till our the last few minutes of our dives which was just brilliant. when i came up i told hubby i want to buy an island! and only invite my favourite people hee hee... everything starts with a dream doesn't it :)...

we are both still recovering from our long drive from yesterday. but like i said, we are both happily exhausted.. :)... till the next anniversary... :) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
