HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE MARRIED?

i have been asked for the past week "how does it feel to be married?"... truth is it feels "sama sama" ... UNTIL...

your hubby introduce you as "... and this is my wife, Elaine..."
or i hear Graeme yelling from the bathroom "Wife!" ....
and when you wake up in the morning and he says " i love my wife"...

you can't explain more but wear a big silly grin on your face and enjoy the sweet moment.

our last guest has gone home today... graeme and i are both absolutely knackered but happy... they called it marriage bliss?

Elaine Lee-Birch ... yeeew.. sounds like an old lady hee hee.

My wedding on the 15th April ... what do i remember :) ....

Beautiful day, Pretty decorations, Stressed over chairs but my bro paul came to my rescue! Started off clueless how to go about the hair tongs and before we know it! My sisters and cousins ben and ray did my hair up like a princess - thank you! (look at the pictures and you know what i mean!)

Walked out of the room with dad and pray i won't trip on my face. I heard loud cheers from my friends and all my nerves dissipated. Saw my man and he was all smiles and nervous :) Dripping wet with perspiration and dying for a bintang. Unglam piece of white face towel he had in hand dabbing his head and mine. Battery operated fan was the best invention ever! (ray you were the heroine for the day!)

Bride and groom kept giggling and then we said "i do" and kissed for a yummy long time
BIG thanks to dr png for leading the responses to the wedding and singing the hymns. The service went well and we got married!

I remembered lynnette pointing out a rainbow that appeared after the "i do". I remembered Electric Blue hair mulcster :) I remembered champagne glassed tied together and spilling most of it. I remembered being carried by the birchy boy (first time ever!). I remembered taking loads of pictures with my bro paul and being carried by him too! I remembered taking a million photos and hearing "elaine look here look here" , "wait wait still got my camera". I remembered my father in law got me a gin tonic and all i remembered after were a blur.

i recalled "yam seng" a million times, pink feather boa, cindy splashing sparkle all over me, "the wedding singer" song from the Lee gang, stuffing spoonful of vodka jello in everyone's mouth, wedding cake, birchy boy and dad being thrown in the pool, a brief yelling session with my hubby (sorry everyone if we frightened anyone!we are fine! just too much aclhies!). i remembered my dad enjoying himself thoroughly and drinking loads and making new friends!

I remembered i realised at 11ish in the night that i never got to eat anything and went into the kitchen and stuffed my face with nasi kuni and chicken and mountain of chilli :) i remembered dr png and blue hair mulcairn telling me that everyone was half pissed at Villa sasoon. I remembered driving home with hubby and sleeping like a baby...

AND THIS IS WHAT I HEARD the next day :) :
cindy and mz was gone!
melissa and tommy helping yong poh to puke
melissa and tommy puked after
kar wee puked. kar wee's friend puke
someone was scooping puke from the sink.
amy was being thrown around the dance floor
cindy splashing sparkles all over everyone she could get her hands on
melissa and jas all determined to feed me before i got to their table
melissa and jas forgot to feed me and determined to get me drunk when i got to their table
jackie telling cindy: i usually dont drink so much and get high
jasmin asking me: can we have an overseas party once a year?

graeme and i were talking last night despite our exhaustion..
we had a bloody good wedding :)
almost all the people that mattered to us was with us on the 15th.
its the best present we can get!
thank you for being there and for being such wonderful party animals! :)
perhaps we should think about a yearly anniversary party in bali just to relive the moments :)

we never really got much time or chance to feel the pre-wedding jitters all thanks to our friends and family for keeping us busy and entertained :)

Findings within a few days of acquaintances with my new family :
no 1: daniel can join the guiness book of record competition of drinking milkshakes
no 2: jessica - her alias is "messy jessie" and it says it all
no 3: charlie the youngest - a definite future engineer and tells auntie lainey "i love you" and gives her a big hug to get her to do anything!
