"we all live in the yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine ..."

well except the one i was in today was a white one :) ... went on the Odyssey Submarine today! after living here for almost 15 months and the submarine is only 15 minutes away from the resort at Amuk Bay! The Odyssey Submarine - i believe the only one in Asia. It's about 56 ft long and 13.25 ft wide and 17.75 ft tall. It sits about 36 people. it was a strange feeling being there. Not uncomfortable just strange. I guess i much prefer throwing on my scuba tank and diving in with the fishes :).

I had a lovely time just being able to be away for the morning, having conversations and laughing silly and being in great company. Dave & Sue our friends and also guests at the resort went on the ride with us. I guess thanks to them that i got out for the morning :). And being able to be with Hubby and doing non-work stuff (or just being out of the office) for the entire morning and talking about everything but work was just brilliant! :) That's the lovely people i spent my morning with this morning:

Oh must add that the lunch buffet that comes with the submarine package is not bad. It's a bit pricey but if you reckon you will don't want to get tan, or wet :) but still want to see the fishes, it's a good deal at USD69. Include transfer, sub ride and lunch buffet. Kids will love it. Kids below 12 is half price btw! :)

Mrs Sim, i reckon your princess and your handsome aloy will like this :).

my 1st time...

i had to leave Bali for the day for visa reasons yesterday. i was telling my godma that i was imagining myself jetting off to paris for shopping. (wahaha...) of course singapore is no paris but at least it was my first time on SQ and my first time choosing my own seat online and checking in online too!

first thing you notice is the bigger seat and leg space! my own private TV! and smiley stuff who lets you drink as long and as much as you want hee hee... (i really didn't drink that much!) ... i must add the crew on my way back were much nicer.

met my mum and small baboo (who has a really cool mohawk hair style! with green and blue streaks!) and godma for lunch at the airport. for a good 4 hours before my flight home , i was just stuffing my face and shifting bum from one restaurant to another cafe and listening to all the latest gossips from small baboo :) i was really not craving for any cuisine especially after a big breakfast on the plane. What i was craving for was a nice cup of coffee and cakes! the best thing i ate for a long long time was that carrot cake from CEDELE recommended by godma! it's super delicious and that lovely yummy cappucino i had with it! yummy! couldnt help myself and ended up flying home with 4 pieces of cakes to Bali to share the delight i had earlier. (compliments from my godma more affectionately known as mother blonde! :)... cousins: i think the closest cantonese word to describe "blondness" is "dun". what you all think ah?)

anyways, thank you mummy, mother blonde and small baboo for meeting me and keeping me company :)... see you all in one month for the big party!

PS: i saw Nadia Hutagalung on my way back at Bali aiport! she is definitely babe :) how does some of you managed to look so glamorous still after coming off a plane? i always look tragic! tips pleeeeeeeeeeeease!

we have had not the chance to do what we did today for a while. flirting with monster zzzzzz for as long as we wanted to. having a big breakfast cooked by hubby, taking charlie out for a walk (he is a lot better now!) and lazing infront of the TV watching old movies (Meet the Focker & Hitchhiker to the Galaxy!). it was a perfect day! we even ate 3 times a day today! breakfast, snack and then dinner! :) it was brilliant!

PS: muffin's mum do you reckon that all dogs are natural swimmer? i reckon ours dont fancy it too much! :)

at 68!

i have not met anyone who is as fit and as alert as this man. Alex Strang, my dear friend, our best man at the wedding, my dad's new pal whom he met at my wedding in bali and boy does he loves asian food and chicken feet. :) it's alex's birthday today and he invited us for a feed at OZONE - a restaurant and bar with live band down Padang Bai - 15 minutes drive from the resort. We (Alex and Marcia, Dave & Kedai, Trixie and hubby and i) ALL order Spare ribs which was absolutely delicious but i do wonder if they are really PORK ribs as they were gagartuan! as usual i couldn't finish my food. We adjourned to Alex and Marcia's lovely house after (it's a beautiful house decorated with fine taste and they have their own pool!) and drank all the wines and beers heh he...

Marcia is like a mum and a great girlfriend to me. Someone you can confide, gossip and bitch with which is something i miss doing! She loves Graeme like her own son and i love that. It's never a dull moment being with the couple. They just crack us up! I will never ever call them old folkies ever cos nothing about them is old! I love to be be like them when i grow up! heh heh...

did i tell anyone that i was looking forward to today the entire week! :) good company over a few drinks - what else can one ask for. :)
