just not sure...

i thought i should let me you guys know that i am okie. after that saturday saga. we never really noticed if our car plate was damaged before but it sure looked a bit wrecked the day after the saga. then just yesterday, the dive signboard parked right before the mainroad disappeared and the pole was bent. But right next to it which used to be an offering structure plus the brollies were uprooted from the ground too. At first glance, i thought it could be a big accident... not sure as there is a big construction going on (villas being built) ... it was easy to assume that those boys we had a row with were the culprits. We are trying to keep an open mind... whatmore it was time to make a new sign board anyway i told hubby...

i was happily prancing around and dancing at our local pub legends on sat with two couples when suddenly i felt someone grab my butt. I immediately turned around and confronted to my surprise a very young boy. I yelled "what the hell do you think you are doing!" and he feigned innocence. i was really pissed off and walked back to the table to tell hubby and a friend who was there. Feeling totally insulted as soon as i told them what happened, i walked straight back to the boy and demanded an apology. before i know it, hubby and i were surrounded by a lot of the local boys and one particular one who just wouldn't shut up and probably aggravated the situation and i am not ashame to admit that my entire sensibility was thrown out of the window. that particular "young boy" fled from the scene whilst a local fisherman who is a friend of ours tried to break up all the screaming and yelling and kept telling me to calm down. I don't really know what hubby was doing except that i think he was going to hurt someone if any of them touch me. they were saying things like "go home" and stuff like "you are not welcome here" and "go back to your country"... my blood was boiling cos what the hell is that about? i think what made me really upset that night was that a guy friend of ours commented that i probably shouldn't be surprised cos i was wearing a pair of short shorts. I couldn't believe my ears. I was hurt by his words and he added, all the situation needed was a hand shake to sort out the matter.

When a tourist come to Bali, they seem a lot more forgiving about the manners and attitude of the locals. If i was his daughter or wife, would the same comments applied i thought to myself? We are all judgemental of situations when we don't know much about them... how funny i thought to myself. i swear to never be that way...

The only person that gave me any comfort that night and who stood up for me was hubby. I kept asking him was i wrong to demand an apology? it was hard not to punch anyone in the face especially when their face is just about few inches away from yours. but i know i be counting days behind the prison cell if i touch anyone here.

When we walked out of the bar and decided we had enough, that particular boy just wouldn't shut up threw another comment. And it started again! I threatened to call the police whilst some of the boys were trying to calm us down. The guilty one turned up finally and wanted to apologise but i reckon i lost it by then with all the flying insults and uncalled for comments. IF they think they can get away with being all testersterone i think they met the wrong girl.

We went to the police station after and when we tried to explain the police standing guard what happened, he laughed! I felt violently ill and emotionally explosive and told hubby let's go. Will speak to the inspector the next day...

i am still feeling ... quite indignant and yes disappointed too by the entire episode ... it's not even about being touched anymore, it's a lot more than that now.

creative cooking? :)

my favourite time of the day on most days is when i am cooking dinner for me and hubby. all alone and chopping away and even as i am cutting things up, i don't have an idea yet what dinner is going to taste like! it's almost like the time of the day when i can be inventive and creative!

i made a chicken, tomato, mushroom dish yesterday in peanut butter sauce! poured it over some red grained rice that i bought (glutinous like rice) and it turned out not too bad at all! it's nutty, a little sweet, salty of course from the peanut butter... i think it lacked a bit of spice (chilli i mean). Will try again another time when i get another bottle of peanut butter!

Mok, Tommy, Jade & Ade bought me a top that basically shows off my good looking wonderfully structured shoulders (hee hee not shy!) and i got a "night fever" number from xiaolin and dave i can show off tonight to my hubby... ;)

it's been great having jas here and i know she will be back soon! :) oh man already miss her and all my friends already! i think i am planning a party next year on my anniversary! watch out for an email from the duchess!

our new chill out place in Bali... :)

Whilst hubby was having a healing session with Jeni, Jas and i lazed around and enjoyed the beautiful blue skies and sea. I got pictures of Aquaria below. The place is just so beautiful and peaceful. (yeah am doing a bit of promotion for Jeni & Glynn - the owners of the place and our very good friends here in Bali :)... they are such lovely and kind people). They are still working on the website so here are the pictures i took yesterday... It's a great place if you looking for a quiet repose or if you think you might like to have holistic healing session with the owners. oh the food is the best in Candi Dasa i reckon! (Jas thinks so too!) and the room rates are very reasonable!

AND attempting to sing me a birthday number while waiting for your dinner to arrive! :) ... sorry mulcster you were only given time for a one-liner! :) am sure we will catch up over our daily chats? :) ...

am older today. i wanted no fuss but just to have a day out with one of my bestest friend and hubby. We went to the zoo (quite an eventful trip!), visited Kudeta - the second best restaurant in Bali. It's located right by the beach and the food was yummy! the music totally chill out and the drinks menu is thicker than the food menu! Had a slice of chocolate cake at Sanur, bought 10 dvds and headed back home to watch Pirates of the Carribean AND Shrek 3 with our drinks and crips till past mightnight! (definitely worth watching both movies!)

I am now looking forward to my family coming over for a visit end of the month for birthday part II! :) who said i didn't want to be fussed over? hee hee...

Our visit to the Bali Zoo :

a handsome white bengal tiger! a white peacock that look soooo princessy, a sunbear doing a dump and wee, a goat doing a wee, a camel doing a wee, a chicken in the same den as the goats??? a lion being naughty with the lioness and the moment being witnessed by a whole bunch of giggling balinese kids probably on a school excursion! (parents: how do you explain such activities when you bring your kids to the zoo!) A gravity challenged orang utan who threw not once but three times a pebble at hubby! His aim was absolutely accurate by the way! So Bali Zoo might not be as excellent as Singapore zoo BUT the experience is quite aplenty for an hour and half walk!

we had turkish bread with hummus, pork and veal meatballs, quesadillas, calamari and fried japanese egg tofu with wasabi has chilli paste which according to hubby tasted like english mustard.

have u ever seen butterflies mate? was home few days ago and saw this amorous pair doing their thing! the butterfly on top (haa haa no pun intended!) has blueish tint on its wings. very pretty. they were in this position for a super long time!
