Revelation about going on 30...

We used to read and hear horror stories of reaching 30 .. but i think as we personally experience the big 3, we find that its not case! I mean just look at the picture below! Adeline - the birthday girl look exactly like she was 13 when we were in secondary school! She has the exact hairdo 17 years ago!!! (she used to wear a pair of black, thick dark rimmed glasses rather than contacts :)). And she just had a little WTBian called Dylan! ;) Mickey mouse ears like the dad. Looking forward to getting older and hopefully wiser! ;)

Biscuit's home!

Biscuit and Birchy boy was home in Singapore for a week. A good 7 days of home cooked food, char siew every day, tiger beer and shopping shopping shopping and more shopping!

We were picked up by Jas at the airport and she had the luxury of a home cooked meal by chef MRS Lee who whipped up the following: Chilli Crab, Steamed Crab, Beef Rendang, "lin gao tong" or lotus soup and a big big plate of char siew and roast chicken from Blk 211! No.1 & No.2 came home for dinner too and so did small baboo. It was nice being home and your stomach being looked after! :) birchy boy was once again subjected to the communal dinner habits and it seems like he is getting the hang of it! :) Look at well fed bunch of boys and girls having their cigi break after. :)

We had an important mission for this trip home. We had to find our gears for the wedding within 7 days! The dress, the shoes and rings and whatever that might come to mind :)...We had great company that few days back home. Big thank you to you know who you are! and for the rest of you who did all the recce before my home coming! On our first day we met up with "wan-can" (dinner) and her hubby. Birchy boy has a really good eye. He spotted chinese clothes (and probably the "for sale" sign too!!) and i got my cheongsam within 5 minutes from Madam Butterfly (Takashimaya) and at a bloody good rate. (That's all i am going to say, you will see the pretty number on the day itself). Crankgal was with us on second day touring Chinatown AND my mummy came along too! We bought all of birchy's gears in one shop in less than an hour! we bought two tops, one pair of pants and two more casual tops with dragons on it. Birchy boy is becoming totally chinese! (did i tell anyone that my granny said he looks chinese! hee hee then again she is about 87 years old!). We went shopping at the big market and boy do Crankygal knows where everything is!
It took forever for me to decide (naturally i am a woman after all!) between a white dress or a loud coloured dress... all i can say is that Birchy boy had great patience hee hee... we finally decided on the last day (well we had to!) and the funniest thing was it was one of the first few dresses we spotted when we started shopping hee hee... I HAD FUN SHOPPING!!! BUT I WILL PROBABLY NOT DO IT AGAIN FOR A GOOD SIX MONTHS!
